Katter’s Australian Party Leader, Robbie Katter has said the challenges to Gill Street are ‘very real’ and has laid out a plan to get business booming.

The newly opened commercial precinct Goldtower Central has received a lot of praise and excitement from Charters Towers locals, but has also raised conversations about the future of Gill Street, also known as ‘the main street.’
