The Charters Towers parkrun was established on the 2nd of April 2022 after 2 years of advocating and planning by local Jilly Singleton. With Jilly’s dedication to the event, locals are now able to enjoy and participate in the world-renowned event. parkrun is a free, inclusive, volunteer-led event that originated in London UK in October 2004 and now has over 6 million participants in multiple countries.
