State MP Robbie Katter and Deputy Mayor Graham Lohmann participated in the grand opening of “The World” at commercial precinct Gold Tower alongside the project’s Executive Director Paul McIver.

Paul McIver said the newly opened attraction of a giant stainless steel globe called 'The World' was a gesture for the town’s 150 year celebrations.
