Photos being showcased at the ‘Unearth our Secrets’ exhibition at the World theatre

The Charters Towers Regional Council recently invited amateur photographers to enter the ‘Unearth our Secrets’ Photography Competition with images that celebrate their love of the Charters Towers Region.

Photo competition finalists are currently on display at The World Theatre from the 21st to the 30th of April 2023.

Winners were selected from three categories including People/personality, Buildings/architecture, Nature/landscape, with a People's Choice prize to be voted on by the public while the exhibition is on display.

The winning photo of the People/personality category was 'Scout Fire Training by Our Own Instructor' taken by Evelyn Capewell.

The winning photo of the Buildings/architecture category was 'Mossman Bridge' taken by Kylie Allison.

The winning photo of the Nature/landscape category was 'Early Morning Fog Star River' taken by Judy Hawkes.
